Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 6, 2003 [Sampled December 6, 2003] The aroma is sweet and fruity with notes of berries especially cowberries. The color is orange/red and it has a beutiful beige head. The flavor is lovely sweet malty with notes of fruit and cowberries. The alcohol runs prickling over the tongue. A very nice beer. After having tried 5 different vintages over the course of 2 months, I'll conclude, that this beer has to age for atleast 2 years and will keep the high quality up to atleast 6 years of age. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden May 29, 2002 Red-brown. Very malty, full bodied, bitter and complex. When tasted side by side with the 1999 vintage this is less vinuous, and still tasted a tad sugary. Neverthe less a great strong ale. Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 8, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark amber with a thick, creamy, off-white head leaving a pretty lacework. Vinous nose with lots of alcohol. Full-bodied, sherry notes and a touch of overripe fruit. Underneath everything is a pleasant, warming alcohol. Dry, lightly bitter finish. Another grand vintage ale from Fullers. 231005 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 18, 2003 Sampled 2003: Hazy orange-amber; caramel and malt. Earthy, twiggy hops.
