Commercial Description:
A classic Vintage Ale with an aroma which incorporates spicy hop notes with rich fruit character and leads on to a very full malty, fruity, sweet palate which has a surprisingly clean finish coupled with a matching bitterness.
I have handcrafted this beer from the finest Fuggles, Target and Super Styrian hops, Maris Otter malted barley and of course, our unique yeast to create a truly extraordinary unique brew. - John Keeling, Brewmaster

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of vegetables, malt, and lemon. The flavor is sweet matly with notes of over ripe fruit and spices, leading to a dry bitter and woody finish. Not ready yet.

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy amber. Sweet with syrupy malt. Salty and vinous with near full bodied. Thick but quite soft mouthfeel, notes of molasses and a lot of caramel. Fruity and appley with a long resiny finish. Intense and warming, yet a bit young.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Bottle # 17998. Clear amber golden with a dense off-white head. Fat aroma of nuts, caramel and alcohol. Good full body with caramel and nuts and british aroma hops. Fairly bitter finish. 270408

Golden-amber colour. Bright (actually no trace of residual yeast at the bottom of the bottle either). Thin head. Earthy, mushroomy nose with hints of obscure UK hops and diacetyl. Complex character - earthy, chalky, minerally - is more reminiscent of Yorkshire than London. Caramelly and toffee malts, lots of earth, hops like Typhoo tea and a brawny, woody, alcoholic finish. Damn fine - not as stellar as last year’s but an impressive bottle nonetheless.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a slowly diminishing and almost white head. Sweet fruity hops aroma. Light alcohol presence. Mild liqourice like flavour in addition. Ends with a mild lingering malt note. Nicely composed and balanced.
