Bottle no. 67803. Sweet caramel and vinous dried fruits with a touch of alcohol in the nose. Clear amber-copper coloured body is topped by a frothy off white head that recedes rapidly to a lasting cover with some patchy lacing. Bready and caramel malts play nicely with some sherry flavours and floral hops. Bitterness is notable but not overwhelming. Medium full body is quite dry and offers a very engaging effervescence. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle. BCLS on Cambie at 8th. Dec-08. Resampled bottle # 15874 at the Fullers Vertical tasting at uhlan’s with similar notes and score.

Poured amber with a slight tan head. Big malty and caramel nose. Taste was sweet malty and caramel balanced with earthy hops. There were notes of herbal tea and some bitterness. Another strong effort by Fullers.
