| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Burnt orange with a thick almond coloured head. Perfumey floral hop aroma with sweet toffee. Palate delivers the same with a fairly decent balance between the hops and the malt. Finish is quite warming but not intrusively boozy or hot. Odeed (1679), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Bottle from the LCBO- This vintage ale pours rusty copper, and is generously topped with a beige froth that leaves plenty of lace. Caramel malts and fresh hops fill the nose and come equipped with burnt sugar, rose petal, fruity undertones and some metallic notes. Tastes of sharp hops and sweet fruity caramel malts. Lots of floral hops lead to a bit of a metallic twang near the finish. A bit boozy and unbalanced at this point, but overall enjoyable as a sipper. Look forward to experimenting with this in the future. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Pours a light orange-amber with a brief head. Aroma is very sweet - malty and fruity. For the first time in my memory, Fullers Vintage Ale tastes like an American barleywine. Strong malting bordering on astringent with just enough hops to give it an herbal but not overly bitter edge. Present alcohol (for a change). This is definitely a departure from the norm, and will age well. Reasonably thick body and good carbonation. Interesting!
