I’ve always hated how expensive these vintage ales are... Pours to a deep rusty red body with a nice large bubbly white head. I wish it had lacing. The aroma is clean Maris Otter and floral hops. The flavor is lightly bitter with subtle fruity hops atop a clean pale malt. The palate is medium bodied and clean. A well made, but "boring" beer.

It’s warm copper with a white head. The aroma has notes of raisin, malt, caramel and more dried fruit. The flavor has sweetness and notes of malt, caramel, light alcohol, fruit and raisin.

Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing white fluffy head. Clear amber body. Fruity barley malt aroma with caramel hops and notes of alcohol. Flavor of barley malt fruit caramel with hops and spicy notes plus a good deal of alcohol. Low carbonation Long bitter aftertaste.

Sweet malty aroma. This is pretty darn good. Malty, sweet and tasty. Excellent stuff again.

Thanks to Blake for bringing the bottle, #111,254! Poured crystal-clear coppery-amber with a creamy, well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet raisins and darker fruit with some orange zest, more candied malts, and dry, white peppery alcohol warmth on the back.. a second whiff brings out more honey and bready sweetness. The flavor had more of that bready and honey character at the core, with a bit of a candied feel.. bitterness was dry, earthy, and peppery around.. warm the last 1/4 of the way with OK balance. Medium-bodied with lively enough carbonation on the palate.. balance and feel were OK. This was a solid, drinkable beer, but it lacked a "wow" factor.

Slightly hazy amber with a small white head. Rich fruity and malty aroma with some marmalade. Sweet rich malt flavour, still with a little sharp alcohol. Nice hoppy finish.
