Pours a hazy copper, with a sudsy lace - very sweet aroma, with notes of vanilla syrup, caramel, frosted breakfast cereals, rock candy - some apple-ish tartness underneath that helps to balanc that - sweet and one-dimensional flavor - strong flavors of vanilla syrup, treacle - some spicy alcohol and a faint dose of hops - a little bit of floral character way in the back - this is a serious disappointment, on par with the southern tier cuvee series - I can’t believe that such an experienced brewer could make something so terribly sweet and boring.

Pours cloudy orange-amber with a medium beige head, very fine and lasting lacing. Rich malty aromas with caramel, vanilla, apple, biscuit, and hay. Medium body, smooth, crisp, lightly dry but low-carbonation. Flavors of toffee, biscuit, vanilla, pine, with some earthy notes. Medium-bitter piney finish, almost enough to balance the malt.

~Honey biscuit malts, nutty and fruity aroma. Malts dominate, maybe getting some light earthy hops as well. ~Pours a hazy orange color with bubbly off white head. ~Nutty, honey and caramelly malt flavor. Some fruity esters that would probably be more pronounced with aging. ~Medium full body with low carbonation. Alcohol warmth. Malty and slightly bitter finish. ~Wonderful English Old Ale. I wish I would have been patient enough to age this for a couple more years. Complex and delicious.
