Better than the ipa from the same brewery, but not very different. jakoblinaa (8), Aarhus N., Denmark does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2007 medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, average carbonation, bitter, JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2005 Darker orange beer, quite carbonated; creamy, yellowish-orange head. Mainly hoppy nose, European (noble) & British hops, fresh-smelling. Markedly sourish edge around non-sweet but malty beer. Hopcharacter from the nose all but gone. Citrus - alas in the way a cleaning fluid is ’citrused’ - cardemom, capers, but restrained of course. Rather dry finish. Medium bodied at best; some acids, strengthened by the carbonation. In the aftertaste, some hops return, but no bitterness. Rather pleasing beer, but I frankly doubt if the sourishness is intended. Still, if this doesn’t intensify with age, it’s quite OK with me. Lovely barley malt aroma with a touch of grass and caramel. Mild and well rounded barley malt flavor with a fair amount of bitterness and a long and dry aftertaste. Stefano (1345), Esbjerg, Denmark

Dryish and medium bodied with some melon and evident caramelly crystal malt flavour. Too clean mouthfeel. Sigmund (2300), Hafrsfjord, Norway
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2005 500 ml bottle, bought in Hvide Sande, Denmark. Deep golden colour, decent head. Moderate aroma with some malts and fruity aromatic hops. Flavour has some decent hops and notes of toffee, bitter finish. This is an okay premium bitter in my book, but not really outstanding. Like all beers from Fur Bryghus, it is overpriced. LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark

Subtle rather than strong, but the finish is nice and bitter from the hops. A little yeast in the aftertaste. A very good ale, one o the best from the new wave of Danish micros.
