Lots of caramel, toffee, bread and some grassy notes. Smooth and medium bodied. On the sweet side but likes the heavy maltyness. Pleasant and well made. tompete (72), Burlington, Iowa, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Clear orange/amber color with a fine white head. Aroma of fruits maybe nuts with a very sweet backing. Very sweet flavor with heavy malt and some yeast. Flavor contribution from yeast is too much a little spicy. Light body with a slightly bitter/metallic finish. A heavy beer for such a light body. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Bottle, 2008 Pre-GBBF Chris_o Shindig. Used penny copper, white head. Ginger bread, compost, mint and rust aromas. Chewy metallic malt flavor, grassy, pepper. Not bad or deeply flawed, but uninspired, and doesn’t really take advantage of it’s strength to do anything fun. oh6gdx (9115), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is fruits, hops, yeast and some notes of mild caramellyness. Flavour is quite much the same along with strong vanilla and wood. A bit out of balance. harrisoni (6947), Ashford, Kent, England
