Commercial Description:
Humlen tilsættes af to omgange.

English: Fur Porter is a top fermented beer of the Imperial Stout style. Dark mahogany color with a nut brown head which has a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Nice aroma of smoked malt and English licorice. Full malty flavor with an extra note of smoked malt and English licorice which ends in a fresh finish, even for this style. English inspired porter brewed with five different types of malt - smoked, caramel and chocolate malts amongst others - and two types of hops where one of them gives the beer its fresh note. The hops are added in two stages.

courtesy of Papsoe - black coloured and with a little, fast collapsing beige foam; a bit roasted, aroma of milk and chocolate; oily and with a good malt body; moderate bitterness, partially dry chocolatey finish - perfectly balanced

[Bottle] Black with a large head. Aroma is liquorice and smoke. Schlenkerla Rauchbier springs to mind when you taste this dry, smoked, wet wood, ashy brew. Quite tasty.

Bottled. Dark brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Licorace, fur and malts in aroma. Flavour is dominated by smoky wet wood, roasted malts, some caramel and a bit fur. Not too exciting.

[Bottled] (BB 08/2006). Very dark ruby color, small creamy tan head. Aroma of tobacco and licorice. Medium bodied. Roasted malty with licorice and tobacco also in the flavor. Some hops in the aftertaste. Well-made and quite interesting porter.
