Commercial Description:
Humlen tilsættes af to omgange.

English: Fur Porter is a top fermented beer of the Imperial Stout style. Dark mahogany color with a nut brown head which has a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Nice aroma of smoked malt and English licorice. Full malty flavor with an extra note of smoked malt and English licorice which ends in a fresh finish, even for this style. English inspired porter brewed with five different types of malt - smoked, caramel and chocolate malts amongst others - and two types of hops where one of them gives the beer its fresh note. The hops are added in two stages.

Bottle, at home. Black with light brown head, almost diminishing, fair lacings. Aroma moderate malty (light smoke, licirice) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter finish. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonated.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark with a beautiful, warm reddish hue. Thick and stable light brown head. Extremely roasted and lightly smoked malt character, and I believe the hard roasted malts add to it’s bitterness. Very warming alcohol, but the body is surprisingly light. Very smooth and soft - I believe the brewery when they praise their well water. 080105

Almost no head on a black body. Nice liquorice aroma, standard porter taste, pretty well made but unremarkable. A newcomer that deserve improvement.

Black with no head although I tried to make it. Licorice aroma with some overwhelming clove and cinnamon. Clove also makes it difficult to make out the flavour, which is dry, a little sour and with a dry licorice aftertaste. As with all micros, it deserves one more chance, but I’m not happy. And I love Danish porters...

Black, no head. This is quite easy to drink. Sweet finish. Watery body. A bit too thin and weak. Almost refreshing.

Black, beige tall lasting head. Mild aroma. Yeast. Licorice. Lactic? Mild flavour dominated by licorice. Some underlying sweetness. Some sourish notes too? Watery palate. Boring porter, a bit out of balance. Disappointing or just infected?!

Very pleasant and highly drinkable porter. Chocolate, roasted malts, and hints of licorice. My bottle said 6.5% ABV.

Breweries and their ABV’s... This bottle claims only 6.5%...! Good but fleeting yellowish dense head; black beer. Very dusty nose, faint moccha & chocolate, also roasted/burnt malts. Nice fresh, nearly piney flavour overlying the typical burnt/roasted stout-porter flavours; especially carbon flavour. Light to medium body, creamy MF, very obvious throatwarming (more like 7.6% than 6.5%...). Aftertaste has some sweethness. Good porter, but once more one which makes it less than clear to distinguish between porter and stout. This could have been a dry stout -but for the little end sweetness, maybe - but it could not have been an "entire butt", IMO.
