Commercial Description:

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

Bottle. Poured a light brown with a reddish hue and a creamy/eggshell head. Aroma had a combination of smoke and roasted malts. Flavor began a bit grainy/bread with a roasted malt finish.

Bottle 50cl. Dark red/brown colour, with a rather small head. The nose reminds me a bit of freshed baked rye bread, sweetness and some malt. It is very present in the glass. The taste is somehow different than the nose, as it adds a bitterness which I cannot decide if I like or disturbs the sweetness I would expect. It is not a beer in harmony in my opinion, but is easy to drink.

Sampled at bakkens beerfestival. Description sounds great but it doesnt quite live up to it i dont think. Clear brown with a small baige head. Has a bock like caramel sweetness along with alchohol and some flowery hops. Flavor is sweet, abit sticky and with the alchohol there aswell. Havnt noticed any smoke in my rating.

Medium yellowish beige head doesn’t last. Dark red body. Roasty syrupy malty aroma with roasted almonds, raisins, earth, and licorice notes. Dryish roasty licorice taste with soy and earth notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, light mouthfeel. Dry chocolatey soy aftertaste with wooden papery notes. Nice! Tastes old, so has presumably been aged a bit. (0.5l bought by Stine in CPH.)

Bottle. The aroma is light malty and alcoholic, also a little bit of molasses. The head is rather small, light brown and creamy-foamy with a normal duration. The body is dark red. The taste is light bitter and light sweet, the finish is light bitter and quite long. The body is light to medium with a soft carbonation and is creamy and light dry.
