Commercial Description:

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

Bottle that was picked up from the brewery in Sept 08, consumed Dec 08. Pours conker brown with a dirty white foamy head. This had a nuttiness about it, some overipe plums and was malty and hoppy. Ok A6 A3 F7 P3 OV13

Bottle from Frederikshavn Complex beer. Fine carbonation, lowely brown. Candy sugar, sourness, fruit, nuts, bittersweet, quite light. A bit short in the finish, perhaps.

Flaske.

Bottle 0.5 l. Bought Irma, Hilleroed. Dark golden amber which high light brown head disapearing fast. Aroma with malts and some hobs. Taste a bit sweet, roasted almost like traditional Danish brown bread. Where is the renaissance?

pours very pleasing to the eye, like tiny pearls rising to the surface. Nice head fluffy and brittle. Sweet melts into bitter, clasic ... Boring. A bit tinny in the nose. Taxing note: grapefrut pith
