Commercial Description:

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

Bottled (as Ebeltoft 1789). Clear nut brown, creamy head. Hazelnut aroma. Sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Some perfume and lots of caramel before a growinggrassy bitterness takes over. Harmonious.

Bottle. Huge frothy beige head that was served in a Fur glass. Head mostly lasted. Clear sparkling amber brownish body. Very good display of lacework. Aroma was caramel, roasted malt, fruit and maybe a hint of smoke and hops. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Sweet and light roasted like finish. Ok and drinkable!

Dark copper color, big fluffy biege head. Sweet syrupy, caramelly malt. Light spicy end, maybe a hint of coffee grounds. Could use more bitter, but very smooth otherwise. OK brew.
