Commercial Description:

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

A Sim rate (Draught at Ølfestival): Malty aroma. Definite malt whiskey alcoholic note to the flavour. Not much to it.

Nice dark brown color with a moderate head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, but is a bit on the weak side. The flavour has a light caramel sweetness and notes of licorice and a hint of smoke. It’s a nice beer, with a lightly dry bitter finish. March 2006.

Bottle found at Kvickly Ebeltoft. Molbo bryg from Ebeltoft Bryghus, brewed at Fur Bryghus.. Yes.. okay..in Fur bottles and Fur boxes with Fur label design.. Soon we can buy the microbrew Kongens Bryghus, brewed at Carlsberg Valby... And this Ebeltoft Bryghus being brewed at Fur..Nice aroma and taste of caramel and malts. Thin head. I have tasted so many better BA´s than this Molbo from Fur.

Bottle. Big brown head. Colour is dark amber. Aroma with notes of malt and sweetness. Taste sweet with notes of malt a little bitter. This beer reminds me more of an english ale than a brown ale. NIce. First rating: 6, 4, 6, 4, 12 Second rating 3, 4, 5, 3,8 I place my ratings in between. At the second tasting I found aroma and taste weak, and this time it was more like a brown ale.
