Pours copper, large off-white head with lacing. Malty caramell with herbal hops in aroma. Malty flavor with spicy bitterness. A faint off-flavor in the aftertaste. Rather flat and dull beer.

Oct 1, 2009 0.5 l bottle from Beerangel. Hazy copper color. Sweetish worty aroma with honey and fruity maltiness. Malty, nutty and toffeish flavor with some herbal bitterness in finish. Rounded palate. Pleasant to drink but fairly one dimensional. Good for german food.

Sep 22, 2009 I think from the bottle. Color was a dirty amber with a big fluffy head. Aroma of spice, bread and yeast. Almost peppery and herbal. Flavor was of sweet malt, bread with a great herbal and peppery finish. Slightly creamy on the palate. Nice finish and after taste. It seems that I like Zwickels more than most.

Slightly hazy amber-golden color, small creamy white head, some lace. Quite grainy nose with hints of honey and hayish hops. Flavor has same elements. Grainy maltyness and nice leafy hops. Reasonably good body for 4.9% brew, long semi-bitter aftertaste.

May 18, 2009 (bottle) pours a lightly hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of fresh honeyed grainy pale malts and subdued floral hops. flavour is the same, with dominant grain and a light bitter finish. medium body with light carbonation.

Mar 14, 2009 Bottled (from beerangel.de). Golden colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is malts, some yeast as well as mild citrusfruity notes in the background. Flavour is sweet malts, some fruits, mild yeastyness as well as some mild notes of herbs. A pleasant Zwickel.
