Bottle. Deep coppery brown with a slight haze and a small but thick head. Aroma of grapefruit citrus with a hint of pine and pepper. Flavor of grapefruit citrus, sweet floral and a slight peppery finish. Very tasty.

Sep 29, 2008 Pour is hazed deep amber with a thin sticky tan head...smell is spicy and hoppy....definite grapefruit and black pepper and pine...taste is lightly sweet at first, then very herbal...pepper is defintely apparent along with a resiny citric hop bitterness..interesting!

Sep 24, 2008 (Draught) Pours a hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, peppercorn, tea leaves, and apricot. Flavor of tea, pepper, caramel malt, and hops (citrus, light pine).

Sep 17, 2008 The pour is a dark and lightly hazy sienna color with a frothy, cream colored head. The foam settles slowly to a thin layer with a prominent, bubbly edge. Thick, sticky ribbons of lacing circle the entire glass. Aromatics include a caramel and nougat malt base, with floral and pine hops, a hint of minty herbs, and a light dusting of black pepper. Flavors show like a piny, crystal malt pale with subtly spicy pepper and traces of ginger or mint. Medium plus in body and moderately carbonated, the peppery bite intensifies on the dry finish. Overall, not a bad little brew. Quite interesting, in fact.

Sep 9, 2008 Pours amber with a decent head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, and a little pepper. Something in the flavor that I don’t like, from the pepper.
