Tripplebrew (285), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 1, 2008 Pours a copper, amber brown with cream tinted head that is quite thick. Aroma is caramel and alcohol even some sugared/candied nuts. Flavor is caramelized malts, caramel, alcohol is noticeable. Medium carbonation and medium but creamy body. esjaygee (808), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Sep 28, 2008 Clearish copper with some floaties and a slowly dissipating tan head that laces as it retracts. Aroma is interesting… grain, toffee, graham, mild alcohol and caramel. Taste is complex, lots of stuff in there… Alcohol, sweet malt, pale malt, caramel, sugar and some bubblegum and light fruit. Mild graininess to the body that finishes with a small alky burn. Not sure exactly what they were going for in this one… but they did a decent job. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 24, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Clear warm reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Fat aroma of caramel, overripe fruit and hops. Quite full-bodied with sweetish caramel and both overripe and dried fruit accents. The finish is dry with distinct alcohol showing and quite some hop bite. A solid brew. 180808 noncaloric (104), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 19, 2008 Summary: There’s an orchestra of flavor here, but it’s still warming up.
