Commercial Description:
Our triple pale is a bastardization of three regionally distinctive recipes that were stacked in unequal measure in order to make a beefy beer which highlights each recipe’s finer points: Esters from a dominant Flanders yeast are reigned-in by cleaner American and London strains; Kent Golding hops provide mild bitterness, giving English and Belgian specialty malts room to breathe; Oregonian hops offer a fragrant nose; Belgian candy sugar boosts the strength of this mash-up to 8.5% ABV.

12oz bottle, no dates. Really hate it when I get slipped a 8.5% monster when the label calls it "a single batch conflagration of English, American and Belgian-Style Pales", was thinking I was in for a 5-6% pale ale. What I have here is a mahogany colored liquid with very little off white foam, meh retention and some fairly decent retention. Some very faint esters in the aroma, but it’s mostly DMS and some dark crystal malts, raisins and creamed corn, yum. Very sweet, some rummy raisin flavors and then some strong bitterness in the finish. A bit thin and over filtered for the strength, overall a very confused and confusing beer.

ruby and copper pour with a medium head. Aroma is that typical belgian fruitiness. with pear, apricot, candied orange. Body is not as rich as I was expecting, some doughy malt going on along with hints of toffee and a biting alc hook. A brief candy sweetness through the middle and a drying bitter presence following that, as well as some grain like whiskey-ish tones on the back of the palate. Interesting, though not my favorite from Furthermore.

Pours to a deep rusty red body with a huge dense foamy frothy silken light khaki head with superb lacing. The aroma is subtle pineapple and nice noble hopping with a light banana and yeast. The flavor has a sweet yeasty dough, cereal, and hop, with a dash of baked bananas. The palate is pretty carbonated and drying. Medium bodied.

12oz bottle. Ruby red-brown color, translucent, with what looks to be some substantial floaties. Sweet sugary aroma hints at a substantial ABV. Smooth on the palate in a subdued brown sugar way. Minimal, pleasant bitterness balances it out. Creamy, interesting Belgian yeast strain..reminds me slightly of Bierre de Corsaire, one of my favorites. Quite good.

Very interesting nose. Has hints of english barley wine and some light belgian yeasty notes as well. Toffee, caramel, toast, green apples, dark fruit. Auburn pour, thin head, sticky lace, lots of particulates floating around. Very fruity flavors, apples, dark fruit. Very english barley winey to me. Soft yeast tones underneath. Toffee and caramel are there as well. Lingering dark fruit flavors. Really soft belgian characteristics IMO. Alcohol is well hidden. Very interesting.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as medium notes of malt, alcohol and fruit. The flavor is sweet again with strong notes of caramel and medium notes of malt and alcohol. The finish is a bit cloying. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

While they claim on the label that this is a mix of the three pale ales (Belgian, American, English), I find t his to lean way too far to the belgian side of things with a bready, dry finish. Wouldn’t likely have this one again.

12oz from KeefD on BA - thanks, Keith! Dark and cloudy orange pour with a fairly decent head, average retention. Strong sharp aroma of fruity hops, booze, and figs. Tweener beer for sure, like a DIPA that’s been aged far too long and fruity old ale. Body is okay, taste is a bit overly sharp and the finish is slick and sweet.
