Commercial Description:
It's not just about the best beer, but the best places to enjoy it. Nestled in the woods near Spring Green you'll find American Players Theatre. There, the audience can kick back and marvel at the genius of Shakespeare brought to life. APT and its festive, open-air venue have inspired us to craft an elegant, light-bodied and "proper" English Ale. Furthermore Proper is a toast to APT, a Spring Green gem.

Appearance: Pours a clear, orange body with a small, ring of white bubbles. Smell: Some candyish hints to the light floral nose with a note or two of bready malts. Taste: Light honeyish maltiness. A bit of fruit, a bit floral. Slight, underlying breadiness. Mild, spicy hop bitterness. Finishes clean and dry. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Fine, sure, though there’s not really much to it to begin with.

Slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has biscuit-y malt, grassy hops and a touch of diacetyl. Dry and malty flavour with fruity notes and a hint of hops in the finish. Very English.

pours a hazy orangish copper colour with a thin head. Slightly earthy-yeasty cardboardish aroma with a hint of skunkish hops. Flavour is earthy-grassy hop. caramel maltiness through the middle and a sharp bitter finish.

Bottle thanks to hopdog. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium off white lacing head. Aroma of hay, cardboard, caramel, some nuts, toffee, earthy notes and just a faint hint of hops. Flavor of light citrus and pine, grassy, hay, caramel and a malt graininess. Maybe this bottle was past it’s prime...but no freshness dating on bottle so who knows.

Bottle, pint glass. Malty aroma with grassy hops. Pours amber with a finger of off-white head, leaves just a little lace. Resinous hops and caramel malts form most of the flavor, grassy and indistinct citrus elements also present. Turns a bit biscuity in the finish, leaves a tang in the mouth.
