Flavour is earthy-grassy hop. caramel maltiness through the middle and a sharp bitter finish.
TomDecapolis (2474), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 8, 2008 Bottle thanks to hopdog. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium off white lacing head. Aroma of hay, cardboard, caramel, some nuts, toffee, earthy notes and just a faint hint of hops. Flavor of light citrus and pine, grassy, hay, caramel and a malt graininess. Maybe this bottle was past it’s prime...but no freshness dating on bottle so who knows. noncaloric (104), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 7, 2008 Bottle, pint glass. Malty aroma with grassy hops. Pours amber with a finger of off-white head, leaves just a little lace. Resinous hops and caramel malts form most of the flavor, grassy and indistinct citrus elements also present. Turns a bit biscuity in the finish, leaves a tang in the mouth. Strykzone (1008), Wood River, Illinois, USA Aug 31, 2008 Copper color with a finger size off white head. Caramel malt and and citrus. Flavor is a bit muddled. Nice caramel malts with bittering hops. Some bread. Fizzy feel.
