Aroma packs a flowery, hoppy punch with hints of citrus. The flower/hop notes are, if anything, even more intense in the flavour. Finish is very dry with hints of a wheat beer tang. Similar to the Phoenix Pilsner at Manchester’s Sand Bar. I would love to find this excellent beer on cask. harrisoni (6830), Ashford, Kent, England

Lovely citrusy bitter. Superb. Great beer in the Dark Star Hophead, Oakham JHB line. Excellent. So good I had another pint of it. Sigmund (2299), Hafrsfjord, Norway

Lovely citrussy aroma, also with notes of flowers and tropical fruits. The hoppy flavour has also citrus and tropical fruits, much like Crouch Vale Brewers Gold Extra, but with a more distinct bitterness in the finish. Another great beer! imANDer (21), USA

This pale golden beer has a floral, slightly grassy aroma and is dominated by sharp hop flavours of citrus and pine with perhaps some spice. I thought it was very nice and it stood up well against my drinking companion’s Oakham JHB. Bov (5490), Bienne, Switzerland

Cask handpull at the Three Judges. Clean gold with a good white head and lace. Citric and hoppy with some slight sweet fruity notes. More of the same in the flavour, citric and grapefruit abounds with a gorgeous clean, dusty and bitter finish. Adorable stuff. I would agree with Ian on the beer of the day front if it wasn’t for that Paradox "rubbish".
