Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available filtered in bottle.
This is a strong traditional ale with intense malt flavours and a citrus hop aroma. A very smooth beer with a well-rounded, distinctly "moreish" finish.

Bottle. Amber colour. Malty, a bit sweet, fruit, caramel, also rather hoppy. Also tried the cask version, but the bottle was better.

Bottle: A clean orange with a good white head a few mm thick. Sweet and fruity on the nose with aromas of mandarin and lychee. Big, zesty fruitiness in the mouth. Some sweet maltiness s joined by glacee cheries and tingly touches of caramel that last long into the finish. An excellent beer all round.

Cask conditioned at The Coastguard Inn, St Margarets Bay, Kent. Amber with white head. Slightly sweet, cereal type beer with a little roasty depth. Quite drinkable, touches of caramel. Reasonable.

Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 31/1/09. Deep amber in colour with a moderate, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and orange blossoms. Flavour started with some sweetness, apricot fruit and a citrus hop kick, before a decent bitter finish. Good.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with fully gone head. Mild roasted malty aroma. Mild acidic and malty towards medium dark fruity flavour. Following is a slight acidic and towards roasted malty with a light spice note. Smooth malty into the finish.

Fairly dark copper pour for a bitter, small creamy head. Some oak and malt flavours, and a good bitter finish. Decent enough.

Tasting notes from Harbury beer festival. Grapfruit Hop aroma. Complex malt flavours with notes of carmel and berries. Decent balance.
