Bottled, from Brownlie grocers in BIggar. This is a crackin beer, I suppose it’s like an 80/- only with more hops. Nicely balanced palate, good hoppy finish, good stuff!

A Mes rate. Cask handpull at the Bree Louise.
Dark copper with no head. A thoroughly standard bitter. A bit of caramel, some faint bitterness. Very dull.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear, deep amber golden with a nice off-white head leaving laces. Somewhat fusty aroma. Thin and watery body, a little caramel and again a distinct fustiness. Rather bitter in the aftertaste. 140509

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a small, off-white head. Malty nose with some hops in the background and a little cellar as well. Cellarish, malty flavor with some fruity hops producing a little bitterness. Rather malty finish too, with a decent bitterness. Dry, medium body. A decent beer, but rather uninteresting except as a session-beer. (090514)

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with an almost fully gone head. Roasted malt and fruity hops aroma. Semi sweet and hoppy flavoured. Nice bitterness and smooth malt base. Ends bitter and light fruity.

Cask at a pub that I’ve forgotten to take down details of in Edinburgh, 20-03-09 on Craig’s crawl of Edinburgh’s finest establishments. Pours reddy amber with a white head. There is a good touch of vanilla in here and there is a nice maltiness and a pleasant tanginess also. Quite a big toffee apple presence shows on the second wave in the mouth and this is another good Scottish beer. A6 A4 F6 P4 OV13 3.3
