Brown color. Strange Ale, with a lot of caramel and a strange vegetables touch; the aroma is also lightly fruity; good malt flavor, medium sweet; there is a touch of sweet liquorice at the end; a Belgian yeast marks it. Very bitter. A bit chaotic and strange, but not bad.
It seems again that the G48 beers are better tasted warm…

Dec 20, 2007 courtesy of Yvonne and Peter Dürsteler - hazy dark brown colour with a fine and persistant beige foam; the aroma is dominated by the malts but some flowery hoppy tones show up behind; caramel and anise, gently chocolatey; robust and regular carbonation; the sweetness is balanced by an initial tartness and a fair bitterness; the finish shows more proud bitterness along with long malty, chocolatey and biscuity notes; quite dry - very good
