Poured clear amber color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate grassy hopt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of short duration. I would recommend this to a freind who wants a soft beer. GoBlue (102), Falls Church, Virginia, USA

Aroma somewhat sweet with spicy undertones and flowery hop aroma, maltiness reminescent of mash. Malty sweet flavor with spicy finish and lingering malt, but clean. Effervescent and lively with a dry finish. Very nice example of a Kolsch SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Light malt and a bit of hops in the aroma.
The subtle flavors are oh so light with just a touch of dryness in the finish.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Nov 8, 2006 Bottled. Pale golden in colour. It has a hoppy aroma, somewhat skunky I´d say. The flavour is somewhat bitter, malty.. There is a dry aftertaste as well. Like nearly all "Kölsch"-beers a litle too thin. Really tasty. The most bitter "Kölsch"- beer avalible. Best in appearance. gnoff (3574), Göteborg, Sweden

Malty scent, real clear and dominating. Mix of thin and full body, how strange that might sound (and feel). Medium high bitterness. Malty taste and aftertaste. (I met aka_tico from Canada at the Gaffel Haus, shared a beer and some stories) 6/3/7/4/13=3.3
Second rating (Draught at K65, Schillerstrasse, Berlin) On June 7, 2008 Clear golden color, white head. Fresh sweet malty scent, also butterscotch. Malty sweet and fruity taste with some butter. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. 7/3/7/3/13=3.3 DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2006 Updated: May 22, 2007Bottle on 10/21/06. Pours a light yellow with a large. surprisingly sustained, rocky white head and nice lacing. Very light aromas of floral hops, hay, but a faint soapiness as well. Lively effervescence punctuates a light body with a clean mouthfeel. Flavor is very lightly malty sweet and gently bitter. Refreshing, but just a bit off in all respects. I think this was old, and perhaps a bit oxidized. I’d like to try a fresh one in Germany.
Re-rated 05/22/07. This one seems fresher thatn the one I had several monts ago. The soapiness in the aroma isn’t there, and the finish is clean, lightly bitter, and quite refreshing. No off flavors or aromas. This is more like what I would expect. dpetersr (4), New Orleans, Louisiana, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 21, 2006 This beer is incredible, I actually had it in Cologne, It is a great lighter flavored beer
