madquacker (473), Canberra ACT, Australia Aug 10, 2008 Straw colour with no discernable head. Citrus and water flavour. Quite bland but not offensive. Good at the start but got worse as I drank it. Muggus69 (203), Sydney, Australia Jul 13, 2008 330ml bottle served chilled. Oddly pale yellow body, slight haze with medium fluffy white head leaving clumpy lace. Faint aroma almost reminisant of a Belgian blonde; sweet pear, citrus and bread. Lean-to-medium body, slightly watey, lively carbonation. Detergenty lemon and ripe pear fruitiness on the body, drying breadiness, not a great deal else. Abrupt finish, mildy bitter. Though not a great beer by any means, it’s quite clean, interestingly flavoured and refreshingly easy to drink. sinkas (174), Perth/Fremantle, Australia Jul 12, 2008 On Tap Perth Food and Wine Show,
one of the most colourless beers I have ever seen, almost clear.
very little on the nose or on the palate, another strange "claytons" beer for this brewer, guess its quicker out the brewery door being an ale Dredd (348), Ormond, Australia May 31, 2008 Pours light straw in colour with a thick white head. Aroma is citrus and pear blossom, kind of like a Pinot Gris from NZ. Flavour is pretty much citrus and pear as well with some light and pleasent bittering finish. While not as revolutionary as a Knappstein Lager, it is quite good nonetheless. bluevegie (1732), Perth, Australia Apr 1, 2008 Pale yellow body with a short head. A little fruity (pear), yeasty, some citrus in the taste, probably a bit more body than your average mainstream lager but not too much, drinks easy enough and does a bit more for me than their New World Wheat.
