Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 14, 2008 (Cask) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fruity, lightly citrusy aromas. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel and a low carbonation. Lovely notes of fruit and caramel - and again some vitamins. Dry finish with a moderate bitterness. Lovely. 070208 yalnikim (640), Wellington, New Zealand Jan 23, 2008 Tasted 23/01/2008. Draught at the brewpub. Bright. Deep gold with an airy, diminishing lacy white head. Balanced aroma shows off subtle esters, rich malt, a little minerality, fruity hops tending tropical and a wee lick of caramel. Big pale and caramel malt character in the mouth - perhaps a bit over the top for a summer quaffer - with more of those fruity hops through the middle and that classic Galbraith’s creeping bitterness in behind. Perfect temperature and carbonation. Another splendidly made Galbraith’s pale ale. This one punches well above its weight. beer_ledgend (796), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Dec 11, 2007 Hand pump at Galbraiths.
Gold colour with small white head. Mild hop aroma with hint of manuka honey. Slight hop bitterness. Honey, spice mouthfeel. kempicus (159), Wellington, New Zealand Dec 10, 2007 I thought this was a lovely summer beer, my only thought was that it was a bit strong for session supping in the summer heat but apart from that it had a lovely flowery hoppy nose with a sweet flowery zesty flavour followed by a lovely long bitter finish, very enjoyable! TheGrandMaster (1434), Auckland, New Zealand Dec 9, 2007 Pint pulled at the brewpub, amber with a white bubbly head. A subtle aroma with some flowery hops. A light mouthfel, plenty of fruit in the hops and juiciness in the malt. Maybe a bit too sweet and perfumed. Not quite there with this yet I do not think, could do with a cleaner palate.
