Lovely summer beer, crystal refreshing with lemon notes without the addition of lemon required. beerledgend (919), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand

Light aroma of caramel and a little flowers. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and a discreet bitterness. Rather clean just not all that thriiling - as very few Viennas are. 070208 TheGrandMaster (1866), Auckland, New Zealand
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 23, 2008 Draught at the brewpub, came a clear amber with an bubbly off-white head. Though I found the aroma a little grainy, it was very smooth and tasty on the palate with a good cleansing finish. yalnikim (782), Wellington, New Zealand
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2008 Tasted 23/01/2008. Tap at the brewpub. Brilliant, lambent, rose gold. Effervescence is standard but comes as a shock after a few pints of draught ale. Clean aroma of biscuity malt and noble hops (a little spice, a shade of herb and the faintest whiff of dry grass). Clean again in the mouth with a great balance of off-dry biscuity malt and a subtle cleansing bitterness. Excellent. One of the very best lagers I’ve tried but it’s only a short interlude in the the middle of a real ale session. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 8, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet and lightly buttery with medium to full body and low hop rate. Soft and mild with slight bitter finish. A solid brew, that perhaps fails to catch my interest because of more extrovert options at the brewpub.
