The aroma is quite nice, very Brit hop-forward with some mild cherry fruit esters and chrystal malts. Flavour starts out with some nice hop flavour as well as accompanying bitterness, transitioning into a pleasant mild malty sweetness. Watery palate that makes this one go down way too quick. Carbonation is medium but high for Bitter standards. Some sort of weird salty aspect immerges as it warms. All in all an enjoyable pint, deserving of a slightly higher over-all score. It’s nothing that bad, just very pedestrian.

Thats not very helpfull, really - every pub round there is called The Ship if its not The Nelson or The Victory... Looks nice, clear amber, small head. Very sweet, like other Gales beers (ESB etc), malty, some hop dryness in the finish. A good light bodied summer afternoon beer. harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England

Not huge flavour, but happily drinkable. DJMonarch (6845), Northwich, Cheshire, England
