Bottle. Good caramel , sweet molasas, tobacco aroma. Brown body but held to light a dark orange body color and no head at all flat. Flavor was flat also bit watery at times but the sweet caramel kept yoou interested in this one.. High alcol content adds little warming to your body but not too much of a factor.

330ml Bottle (2002 Vintage) from Pikkulintu, Helsinki-. Dark brown/copper coloured which is slightly hazy. Malty, grainy aroma with a bit of sweetness. The taste is malty and sweet. Like FatPhil says, I feel this is little bit past its best but still stands up fairly well.

330ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) 2002 vintage.
Rich orangy red, no head. Sweet malty aroma, very promising. Unfortunately perhaps this was just a little too old, as the taste also had a slightly sour tang to it. Also something waxy, and maybe naphtha. The sourness makes it tangy which is a little off-putting. I’m guessing this had a lot of potential to excel, but rating it just as very good.

Vintage 2002. Clear brown coloured beer with no head nor carbonation. Strong candy (drop) sweet aroma with some hints of ripe fruits. Strong old palate. Finish is coffee, chocolate fruity toffee and caramel hints. Although old still very enjoyable.

Purchased at Embassy Liquors in Richland, MI 05/07. Pours a brownish murky copper with zero head. The aroma is pretty full with a mixture of red wine grapes, sweet plums, hints of over ripe cantaloupe, hint of olive brine, alcohol and a just a bit of earthy woodiness. The beer has zero carbonation creating an un beer like mouth feel. The bubble-less fluid starts with a slight olive note and then becomes fruity with dark grapes, sweet plums, tart wine tannin and cherries. Then an undercurrent of sweetness and caramel takes over briefly. As the finish approaches a dryness takes the moisture away with a red wine flavor and tannin tartness.

2002 bottle purchased at Falling Rock Tap House. Pours clear brown with no head, no lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, nutty), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough, broth) with notes of dates and toffee. Full bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness and acidity, light bitterness.
