henrikb (1124), Aarhus, Denmark Apr 24, 2007 The most beautiful deep clear amber orange body with a big bubbled lasting beige head; Very fine and elegant well developed mature nose, quite a bit of woody, horsey apple-like Brett aromas backed by fruity notes of dry Sherry; Small amount of pleasant sharp carbonation on soft textured body, very balanced, deep and complex, fresh salty and slightly sour; It evolves into a big and very long finish, again as complex and well developed as it gets, the salty sourness stands out pleasantly and lasts forever, with lots of ripe and green apple sour aromas and sherry like wood notes. What a very, very great beer, one of the finest and most elegant I ever had - Thanks a billion to Kramer17801! UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Dec 29, 2002 Very nice. Very wine like in texture and mouthfeel. Deep umber color, with no head at all. No carbonation. Strong alcohol aroma, with a bit of roast. Very smooth finish, malt and hops are indistinguishable it’s so well balanced. A perfect beer if you’re into this stuff. Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 6, 2001 Similar to the POA in its rich fruitiness, smooth malt palate, silky finish and undeniable complexity. DaSilky1 (1622), San Diego, California, USA Apr 6, 2003 Draught: opaque medium brown with soapsud-like head..sour, almost brett-like aroma..very oaky, vinous, woody, chardonney-like flavors...Very impressive brew.. hotstuff (3045), Indiana, USA Mar 2, 2004 Bottle. When poured, this beer formed a small sized tan head with fine-small sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. The body was hazy, carbonated with a somewhat copper hue. The nose was sweet, spicy and definitely alcohol. The flavor was caramel and alcohol tasting. The mouthfeel was tingly and this was a medium bodied beer with sparse lacing.
