Commercial Description:
Dvojrmutový varný postup, typický pro Gambrinus i většinu piv plzeňského typu, naši sládci obohatili o podíl karamelového sladu a především o unikátní dávkování chmele. Spočívá v přidání třetí dávky chmele až po ukončení chmelovaru, na samém konci varného procesu. To přináší plnější chuť spolu s intenzivnější chmelovou vůní.

Bottle (purchased at Tesco’s Tetschen-Bodenbach):Deep golden, small, but quite persistent white head; light pale-malty nose with an even fainter peppery hoppy touch and a tinge of butter; mild sweet-bitter flavour, subtle malty base detectable, light bodied; slightly lingering buttery and sweet-bitter finish. So far the best Gambač and compared to the 10° and 12° a real gem..............

on tap at u sesti strun in plzen. some genius at prazdroj must have decided that they needed to offer something that fits price-wise and quality-wise between the regular gambrinus and urquell. this is already available at a few pubs in plzen and, sadly, has replaced svijany at one of my preferred local watering holes. they must have a pretty good marketing campaign going because a few people have already told me that this is far superior to the regular gambrinus 10. i could not really notice any difference, apart from some extra alcohol in the finish - hardly an improvement. hopefully this beer will die a quick death and will not colonise the pubs of plzen any further

bottle, Albert Praha-Nové Butovice. Clear golden colour, large and creamy white head. Aroma of (cheap) hops. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with some pleasant and some rather cheap hop flavours with a decent Saaz character. It doesn’t taset liek europivo, the Bohemian character is clearly detectable. In comparison to Gambrinus 10° and 12° this one is rather good.

Bottle. Toffee malt aroma with a hint of hops. Golden yellow color with minimal head. Strong slightly sweet toffee malt and moderate grass/hay flavor. I really love the malt flavor of this beer - very nice.
