SaintMatty (1197), Tallinn, Estonia Oct 25, 2009 500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Grassy aroma with hay and hints of citrus. Malty and slightly sweet taste with corn and some grassy and hoppy elements. Refreshing, but not very exciting. Nisse666 (313), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 23, 2009 Nový Bor, Czeck Republic, draftl in orginal glass, 10 C 20091021. Big strong head! Flavor etc Czech standard pilzner! 12 degrees mcberko (123), British Columbia, Canada Oct 14, 2009 Draught in a restaurant in Prague. Pours golden, flavour is grainy and a little yeasty. Drinkable, but fairly standard Czech pilsner. tomer (365), Rishon Le Zion, Israel Sep 11, 2009 0.5L bottle, small head, clear dark orange with some light brown taints. aromas of vanila, herbs and spices. Strong and empathic bitterness with a light biscuit and honey sweetness lurking in the back. Long bitter and sour aftertaste. Excellent pilsener. foxmania23 (7), Czech Republic does not count Sep 9, 2009 Quite watery and non-descript on first taste, some hops do come through on the palate later and there’s a gentle hint of licorice in the after-taste. Sweeter , cheaper and less remarkable than it’s stable-mate Pilsner Urquell, Gambac is a drinkable brew although on local terms, it’s rather bog-standard. zvikar (413), Tel-Aviv, Israel Aug 25, 2009 From tap at Little Prague, pours golden with a medium head, aroma is grainy with vanilla marmalade and some herbs, flavor is grainy with some yeast and herbs, quite bitter and refreshing. MennoO (112), Haarlem, Netherlands Aug 19, 2009 Updated: Aug 21, 20090.5 l bottle from friend. golden with medium white head. indeed some honey-sweetness next to its slight bitterness. nice pils heavy (815), Split, Croatia Aug 18, 2009 0.5 l bottle from a local cafe bar. It poured golden body with medium sized head that went down pretty fast. Lemony aroma, somewhat grainy and malty. Flavor was quite a disappointment, lemony again, with some honey malts, quite neutral, only very slightly bitter. Short finish, some lemony hos again shows up here. Too few hops for a decent pilsener, and I can’t seem to think desitka it’s much better...although I was a bit too hard on that one.
