Bottle brown, 500 ml, 10 P
Appearance: body is nice, deep, shiny gold in colour, clear and transparent, carbonation is low and mild. Head is snowy white and foamy to frothy. There is no lacing. Head initially is medium and after some time diminishing, not fully but mostly. Beer is medium bodied.
Aroma: Hoppy, alcoholic nose, fruity malts, a kind of floral hops creates a good composition with noticable malty and grainy aroma, a hint of chalk and citrus floral grassy hops but no skunkyness, fresh and nice aroma, very crispy and clear aroma.
Flavour: Clean, crispy, grainy, alcohol is well hidden. Strong, floral, citrusy and refreshing flavour, nice hoppy bitterness, deepness of flavour, all ingredients are very well balanced, chalky and dry finish. Finish duration is average. A bit bready. Classic Bohemian Pilsener of the good ones.
Palate: Body is light, texture is dry and a bit wattery (but water of good quality and soft, mountain like), carbonation is soft on palate, finish feel is light alcoholic and chalky, floral, bitter.

On tap in Red Peacock restaurant, Prague. Salty pale lager of no character. Not a patch on the Pilsner Urquel, but drinkable enough.

Can 0.5 l. Golden with a fizzy disappearing white head. Nose is slightly grassy and malty with some butter. Flavor is mildly malty with just a tad of hops and butterness. Mild overall.

Canned. Small head is white and almost completely vanishing. Liquid is golden yellow and very clear. Malty aroma has some hops and green grass elements. Quite dry maltiness finishes with medium bitteration. Body is medium and carbonation average. I miss the freshness of the tapped version. Still a nice pilsner to have available because it brings back memories from Prague.
