Pours a magnificent coppery gold with a huge khaki head. The aroma is so delightfully hoppy I can’t believe this is from Canada. Some caramalt too. Citrusy and piney at the same time. Flavour starts out super bitter, and ends quite bitter and dry from the ample hops of various variety. Awesome sticky sweet caramalt backbone that is actually kind of creamy feeling, but this one is all hops. The liquid is sticky and lingers on the palate for a long time which is awesome. This is possibly the best executed IPA I’ve had from a Canadian brewer. Beautiful.

App.: Clear amber with a large light tan head.
Aroma: Lots of juicy grapefruit and pine, backed by nice crunchy caramalts, quite fruity, some dark dried fruits, brown sugar, blood orange, a little dusty.
Palate: Medium+ body, soft, sparse carbonation.
Flav.: Lots of citrus, more oranges than grapefruits, some pine, nice brown sugar and caramel support, fairly fruity, some light tropical fruits; dry with a touch of brightness and big bitterness that lingers.
Beautiful stuff! Berley31 (198), New Brunswick, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 A: Poured with an average-to-large sized, white head, that exhibited some very good lacing, clinging in small clumps and spiderweb patterns on the glass. Body is quite cloudy and a dark orange/amber color.
S: Very nice aroma of average hops, with a lot of scents in there, such as pine, citrus, and various herbs.
T: Great flavor with some citrus and pine notes, and a very bitter and dry finish. Lots of hop profile with this one, but it’s not overpowering at all... there’s a great balance with the whole flavor from start to finish.
M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with average carbonation.
D: A perfect example of an IPA with a good amount of kick, that doesn’t, however, try to completely rip your taste buds apart. Definitely worth plenty of future purchases, and easily the best Garrison beer I’ve had to date. jimmay (231), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Pours slightly orangey amber in colour with monster tan coloured head. Huge aroma of earthy, floral hops. Suspended yeast is present. Flavour is bigger, if possible. Wow! This is a big IPA! pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Pours a hazed deep amber orange with a monster meringue cap. Great retention and lacing.
Gorgeous pungent aromas of juicy citrus- pine hopping and toffee malts.
Medium bodied, Big rush of resinous hops in front is countered by ample caramel malt body, large flavour. Finish is wet hoppy and with a long astringent hop bittering burn.
One of the best big IPAs I have sampled in Canada but the astringent finish blows the balance and harmony...a small foible and a personal preference but this alone keeps me from giving this higher marks,
