Served in a nice celebrator glass. Pours a nice medium to deep amber ( a bit lighter than most strong scotch ales, but nice, and had a very good thick head with nice lace. Aroma was caramel, sweet, and some light diacetyl. Flavor is a nice and sweet, thick caramel malts, lightly nutty, hints of roast and a decent finish. My only problem with this beer is that it has a house slickness and lighter mouthfeel jsut like most of thier beers. Needs some body to make it truly stand out as a great scotch ale. Also would have enjoyed a bit of smoke or peat, of which I didnt detect any.

Was told by the venerable barkeep that this was a Scotch ale, so I suppose I’ll take his word for it. Strange banana, lemony, and fresh produce on the aroma and taste. Otherwise, a heavy drinking blackish beer. Dangerous stuff... wouldn’t drink this in comination with much else.

Tap at the brewpub. Brownish orange in color with no head. Malty sour flavor. Strong malty character. Drinkable.

Tap at the brewpub. Brownish orange, clear, no real head. Soured malty flavor and aroma. Not too much, but gently present on the strong malt character. Possible infection? Drinkable, but not much more.
