willblake (1932), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Apr 26, 2008 20061209 Tap at brewpub. Aroma of skim milk with some carton notes in the flavor. I was sitting only inches from Paul who apparently likes skim milk. i do not. Thin and hot - terrible. I have no idea why my notes are so far off from the others, but they are what they are. Whew, visiting Gaslight was an adventure. yobdoog (367), Woodridge, New York, USA Jan 16, 2008 So I had this recently, late 2007. I was told it was a Blegian Sour and got what I was told. It was actually a bit flemish and had a nice sour funk. Now if I knew tha was an accident I may not have liked it as much. Accident or not it wasn’t that bad. Some nice cherry flavor but overall not much to say abou tthe beer or complexity. Jine (857), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Feb 17, 2007 2.8.07 At the BP with AdamSkillin. 8.0% ABV. Definite alcohol FLAVA. Possibly more bittering hops necessary. Pleasant malt flavor. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 30, 2006 Updated: Dec 26, 2006on tap-pours a dissipating light tan head with amber color. Aroma is faint malt. Taste is dry, malty. Dickinsonbeer (2514), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jan 17, 2006 This years version is 8.7% I think. Pours a very nice clear dark amber with ruby highlihgts and thin lasting head. The aroma is fruity with nice english yeasty esters, along with nutty and caramel malts and lightly spicy. Flavor has just a touch of alcohol, as the body is a bit thin, but has a nice complex flavor profile. Light chocolate, more caramel, some apple and raisin/plum. Nice smooth finish. One of my favorites of the gaslight brews.
