Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 11, 2006 A hazy dark amber beer with a fast disappearing orange head. The aroma i ssweet and a bit acidic with notes of prunes. The flavor is sweet malty, but also with a light acidic edge, combined with notes of caramel, leaidng to a dry spicy end. A terrible aroma, but an OK flavor.
Ober (387), Best, Netherlands Oct 7, 2008 A hazy red/brown colored beer, with a small beige head. Its disappears quickly. The aroma is acidic with some sweetness and malt. The taste is sour too, with notes of cherries. There are some spices and some bitterness. The aftertaste is bitter. bierkoning (4920), La Tropica, Netherlands Oct 4, 2008 Bottle @ home. Brown color. Malt, maple syrup and a hint of raspberry in the aroma. Full bodied, thick and sticky mouthfeel. Sugary sweet flavor with pineapple and peach. Nice to drink but lacks depth because of the overwhelming sweetness. xpimptastikx (8), Austin, Texas, USA does not count Sep 23, 2008 Brought to me when I asked for a slightly different take on a dubbel at Delirium Cafe. Deep orange color with a white head. Sweet with a sourness. Nothing overpowering like a gueuze. I like it because it was a different take on a dubbel, and something I won’t see again. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 12, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep orange to brown with a lacing white head. Spiced and slight off and dry aroma. Acidic and light spiced base flavour. Clear infected.
