The aroma is quite tart. Lost of lactic/citric character over a soft sweet plummy fruitiness. There is a bit of sweetness along with a light cherry aroma. A touch of clove and spice behind the fruit and plummy malts. Fairly acidic and tart. As it warms there is a touch of coffee and cocoa, and the sweetness picks up significantly. It gets a little bit more balanced as the temperature keep rising. It’s not bad, but it’s not really a quad either... sort of a strong ale/flemish red hybrid. michael-pollack (2719), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
