Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England Aug 10, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Thick, murky amber body with a very slight tan rim and quite heavy carbonation. Fairly heavy yeasty stuff with some good fruity notes. Very burnt malty notes with slight spicy hints. Well balanced and very well hidden alcohol considering the high abv. Decent beer. KimJohansen (3171), Copenhagen V, Denmark Aug 9, 2008 Hazy deep amber with tiny beige head. Sweet aroma with overripe fruits, yeast and caramel. Sourish flavor with caramel and toasted malt. oh6gdx (5857), Vaasa, Finland Aug 6, 2008 Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, wood and some alcohol and yeast. Flavour is fruits, alcohol and some slight notes of sourness. Though the alcohol is evident, the beer is still quite well in balance. Comments: A vinous example with delicate fruity intricacies. It manages to conceal its strong ABV competently. Impressive!
