Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 30, 2006 An amber beer with no head. The aroma is of alcohol, stored fruits, prunes, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries - especially cherries, as well as alcohol and prunes, leading to a slightly acidic and fruity end.
fonefan (4884), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 1, 2008 Bottle 33cl. Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, raisin, drye prunes, brown suager. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (010808) thebeertourist (1889), Oslo, Norway Sep 20, 2008 Bottle at Kulminator. Copper brown with a huge beige head. Complex tart fruity aroma with caramel. Sour notes. Milky chocolate, sour fruit, semi-dry finish. Rather smooth, full-bodied. This is something different. A beer that runs in all directions. Maybe not the most elegant, but definitely exciting. bierkoning (4933), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 8, 2008 Bottled. Brown color. Plums and raisin in the aroma. Sugary sweet, vinous flavor with pineapple and plums. The sugar hides the alcohol, but also the complexity that should be there. Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Sep 4, 2008 Bottle at chris_o’s pree banter banter. Alround rating: Dark roasty malts, lots of candy sugar, fruity, plums, slightly spicey. Mes_and_Sim (4477), Highgate, Greater London, England Aug 10, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Thick, murky amber body with a very slight tan rim and quite heavy carbonation. Fairly heavy yeasty stuff with some good fruity notes. Very burnt malty notes with slight spicy hints. Well balanced and very well hidden alcohol considering the high abv. Decent beer.
