While drinking this I started to really hate it and it became a major letdown. I decided it wasn’t going to be a drainpour and soon it really changed it’s flavor on me like that. I guess about 20 minutes of warming could really make that much a difference for a beer. Aging could do this wonders. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Dark copper pour, very fluffy white head. Fresh caramelly, nutty aroma with hints of mint . Chewy flavor with some caramel notes, nuttiness, and subtle fruitness. Thickish mouthfeel for the style. Very good. DewBrewer (273), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 23, 2006 33cL bottle. Golden amber color with nice, lasting head. The aroma is incredible with pear and strawberry and a touch of sweetness. The flavor is crisp and the yeast provides a very fresh and dry sensation. There is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste that is an interesting balance to the profile. Similar to a Belgian blonde ale. Great beer. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 22, 2006 From the bottle pours copper with a overwhelmingly fizzy head, kinda hard to pour. Kinda funky yeast flavor shows well, giving the finish a acidic and lightly sour flavor with some yeast spice. Fruity up front, citrus and caramel with earthy tones. Finish dries it out nicely and the mild sourness keeps it refreshing. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2006 Bottle. Pours an auburn-copper body with a large frothy white head which slowly dissipates leaving significant sheets of lace. Yeasty alcohol aroma with notes of bready oranges and butterscotch. Sweet caramel and some faint chewy fruitiness. Yeasty palate with some apparent alcohol warmth. Pleasantly toothsome leaving some spice on the finish. shrubber85 (3015), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2006 Bottle. Dry musty malt aroma. Reddish amber with gigantic head initially that collapses quickly. Sharp acidity hits the tongue first followed by light musty malt with a moderate hops finish. Light body but the mustiness linger quite a while after swallowing. Good but could use more body. dkoonce (899), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Says French Red ale on the label under the name. Same label otherwise. Not too red for a red ale. Pours gold, with a massive head that fills 90% of the glass. The aroma is heavy with fruity esters and malt. Heavy body, with a flat mouth feel. A bit sour in the finish. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Clear, amber-orange body with a very creamy off-white head. Tastes faintly of bandaids and citrus but mainly alcoholic and boozy. Medium body, nasty aftertaste. Overall does Not come together well.
