I think there’s some hot alcohols as well though, kinda giving me a head ache. The flavors are good but the palate is quite thin and the alcohol is to dominant. I do quite like it though. Tasty, but not quite to my taste. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jul 11, 2009 A beautiful reddish amber in the glass with a massive fluffy cream coloured head. The beer throws a huge nose of freshly baked cookies, bread, and a hint of plums. The flavour expands on this with spicy and fruity notes coming through. There’s also a hint of hot alcohol. The body is disappointingly thin, and the carbonation a little too dominant, but otherwise, this is a great beer. MJGG (423), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

SFLpunk (132), South Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 14, 2009 330mL brown glass pry-top. Back label dated BB 07.03.10. Bought at Super Marché Rahman in Montreal.
Appearance: Poured into a tulip glass leading to 2 fingers or off-white creamy head atop a cloudy brown brew.
Nose: Rather muted with some slightly sour stone fruit notes, some light caramel and milk chocolate notes. Almost like chocolate covered cherries.
Palate: Medium bodied and with crisp/sharp carbonation. Lots going on here. The chocolate covered cherry thing continues and is met with strawberry and light toffee/butteriness. The palate is really sharp at first, but as the carbonation releases the taste buds, they are overwhelmed with fruit and dark candies.
Notes: Had no earthly idea what to expect from this beer. I bought it simply because it was from French Flanders. Stunning beer. Wish we could get it here.
