Commercial Description:
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

Bottle... Lightly hazy orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Malty, fruity aroma. Smells a bit like fruit punch. The flavor is a little too sweet. Malty and vinous with light bitterness... port wine. Medium-bodied and scouring with moderate carbonation. Finishes bone-dry and lightly bitter.

Pours amber with large long lasting white head. Aroma is peppery roasted malt. Taste is very complex with pepper, sweet malts in the front and an alcohol finish. Bottle fermentation makes swallow very frothy. The first sips are good, but the higher alcohol content numbs the tongue, making the second half of the bottle less discernable.

Quite enjoyable, lots of maltiness is present in this one, cardammon, licorice anise and some sweet cinnamon, and just a hint of brown sugar spiciness, mixed with lots of caramel and toffee malts, and just a hint of walnuts, and apricot fruitiness. Again quite enjoyable

Amber/brown beer with an off-white head. Fruity, fresh, malty aroma. tastes caramel and roasted malts, a bit licorice and cinnamon, sweet, nutty and just a bit woody/nutty. finishes a bit sourrish and spicy. Could use some more body, i guess. nice sipper thought.

Bottle. Pours a clear lively amberwith a loose fluffy head. Fruity, toasted aroma with caramel, pear and cinnamon. Rather light in body with an effervscent mouth feel. mild toasted caramel flavor with a little nuttiness. Clean finish with a small alcohol bite.

Ihan kohtalainen olut.

Great amber color not like most biere de Garde. Light but strong. Honey sweet but the alchol hangs out a bit to much.
