Not quite true: last week i saw a new one that claims to have 13º... A little dangerous this one. Not unpleasant but also nothing special. The alcohol covers all other flavours. If you are looking for a strong beer, you’re rather try Bush or something similar. Just ok. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

The next most expensive beer on the menu was Chimay at 5, so I was optimistic. It was one of the worst beers I have ever had. I couldn’t even finish it and it made me mad for the rest of the night. Alcohol is extremely noticeable and even then it’s a pissy skunked lager. Can’t find this one in America? Take a Coors light and throw some vodka in it and this is it. beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 7, 2005 Light orange gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is grain alcohol, fruit and malt. A medium bodied European Strong Lager. Malts are fruity and sweet. Not sure about the hops. There does seem to be some grassiness to it. Not really unpleasant, but there is nothing here to note as ‘good’. It is drinkable and at 12% alcohol it will get you drunk, but there is nothing much else going on. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with an alcohol bite. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Yellowish beer, rather still; bubbly, disinterested head leaves sticky spots of lace. Aroma is faint, but sweet, papery, some fruit (plum, white raisin), and shockingly little alcohol. What is a sweet, flat, bland beer at first turns violently into a cloying mess with burning alcohol and lingering blech. Something unpleasant lingers on the back of the palate. It’s a bit like they just added grain alcohol to a barely passable pale lager. OlJuntan64 (1267), Perth, Australia

Week old drip tray with touch of bandaid amd alcohol aroma. Soft medium smooth thin bodied low carb palate. Medium bitter stale hops and medium candy sugar sweet with lashings of alcohol. OK for a European strong which is quite far from may favourite style. Kelvinator (32), Buenos Aires, Argentina
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 8, 2005 Clear golden crisp yellow. Gassy, light persistent foam. Average aroma, grassy aroma. Tastes strong of alcohol, which mascarades every other note, and gives a very unpleasant aftertaste. Gave me a quick headache after the second one. Nekronos (2267), Xalapa, Mexico

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 13, 2005 Bottle. Pours a pretty, clear golden color with a small somewhat fizzy head. Interesting aroma, lagerish with sweet maltiness, hints of lemon and hay. Flavor is sweet initially, I agree with Vac on the odd grassy notes, then there is a strong and unplesant alcohol finish with a bit of spice as well. Mouthfeel is full with little to no carbonation. Overall a weird and unsatisfying biere - kind of like a lager on steroids, but not in a good way.
