(750 ml corked bottle: $5.49 at BevMo in Laguna Niguel, CA) I poured this into my Duvel tulip, expecting it to be at least somewhat worthy, but I’m gonna have to scrub the glass now. Pours a medium gold color, rather than pale yellow, so that’s a positive. The white head is small, even after being poured into this tulip, and it fades away to a thin film quickly. Things fall apart once I bring the glass of beer near my face. The aroma is lightly sweet, grassy, and mildly grainy, but it’s a very tinny and the aroma of alcohol is quite evident. Things get even worse once the beer reaches my lips. Initially, it’s slightly grainy with a modest bitterness, but the metalic, alcoholic finish is attrocious. It tastes like this bottle sat on the BevMo shelves for years (brown bottle, brown label, diamond shaped logo, how old is this?). Yikes, this is bad. Not only will I have to scrub the glass clean, I need to go brush my teeth to get rid of the aftertaste. Corked and caged in a fancy brown bottle to make people think this is good stuff. It’s nasty! Brutally awful. One of the worst beers I’ve ever tasted, and that’s not hyperbole. What a waste of hard-earned money.

Pours with apale yellow body topped by a medium thick, white head with lots of lacing. The aroma and flavor are both weak with a slightly sweet grassy note and a touch of lemon. Light bodied, slighlty tingly and watery.

750 ml bottle. Pours clear golden with a large white head that diminishes rapidly leaving a thin film and some lacing. Aroma is malty and fruity, apricot, lemon grass, yeast and corn. Flavor is sweet with hints of citrus, hops and a bready yeastiness that lingers in the back of the throat. Medium body and gentle carbonation. I may be against the grain on this one, but I liked it quite a bit for a pale lager - especially as it warmed the flavors and aromas became much more pronounced and enjoyable.

Pale gold body with a thin white bubbly head. Due to green bottling, it exhales a strong skunky aroma. There are some thin hoppy notes. Its boring malty taste does not succeed in hiding the alcohol. Leaves a short hoppy aftertaste. Useless...

Skunky astringent hop notes, with bad sweet undertones. Dull golden clear with thin white lacing head. Medium heavy watery body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with stale papery hops and dull malt sweetness. Low acidity and not much character. Finish is dull, with some cardboard and light sweetness, mild alcohol. After is mild with light astringent hops.

Clear yellow. Compact foam. Aroma of fruit. Excessive alcoholic rate.

Malty aroma... tastes like malt and alcohol, suprisingly similar to the Ch’ti "Triple". Maybe a bit more bearable. The type is wrong. It says on my bottle that it’s "Biere du Desert Strong Ale". I’m pretty sure that it’s the same beer (the name, and 7.2% alc). So it should be Blond Ale or something. All in all, yet another french mistake.

Bottled(330ml). -sweet and fruity aroma, light acidic flavor, little bit too vain for 7%ABV, lightly sweet and moderately bitter finish
