Aug 20, 2006 Can brought back from a trip to the Auvergne by Mrs H. Definitely not in hand luggage. Thank you, my dear. Clear golden colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma has sweetness and yeast. Taste is fruity, perhaps orange, and alcoholic. Sweetness and sourness is followed by a bitter finish. A bit too much carbonation. Otherwise excellent.

Aroma: fruit, banana, passionfruit, malt, spices, hops, gooseberry, candisugar, flowery.
Appearance: clear yellow with white foam. It looks like an ordinary pale lager.
Flavour: rural/rustic, sweet, unbalanced, strangely bitter (as in bitter in a strange way), very musty, sourish.
Palate: rough, slightly slimy, soft, long.

A bit bland for a Biere de Garde. Taste and looks more like some type of blonde beer. However it is very smooth and refreshing.

Clear light gold with a quickly fading white head.
Fruity, honey aroma.
A high level of carbonation makes this one rather spritzy. Some sourness in the finish.

May 29, 2006 Golden coloured, thick white head. Slight peppery aroma with some yeasty hints. Yeast, malt and fruits in flavour, mostly orange. A little herbal. Some notes of hops. Slight bitter finish.

May 25, 2006 This Biere de Garde pours a pale yellow gold color form a 750ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is musty and tart. A medium bodied Biere de Garde. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are earthy and slightly spicy. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Lots of sweetness, but not as sweet as ones would think with all that honey. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is sweet.

May 25, 2006 Golden, nice white head. Floral notes in the aroma, lime and some wheat is there as well. Malty flavor, some yeast, hoppy and a quite bitter finish.
