Clear golden pour with minimal carbonation and a tall, creamy, long-lasting, lacing white head that jiggles like jello. Bitter, lightly grainy, largely malty taste with above mentioned notes and creamy vanilla, muddled spices, and a little funk. Love the weighty, clean phenols. Medium-fullish body is heavy but smooth, seems to have some white grape and honey spritzes. Balanced and super fun for the discounted price. drfabulous (1275), Columbia, Missouri, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Poured a nice light copper-orange hue, not much of a head. Aroma was bread like but also had a nice grassy note to it. The initial flavor was very light, some bread malts, some grassy notes, similar to the aroma. Some mild bittering hops in the finish. Crisp yet light in the finish. dnas2 (655), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Bottled. Malty straw biscuit aroma. Slightly carbonated. Dry and some bitterness on the end. In the mouth there are biscuits, malt, straw and some sugars and berry fruit. Not sweet. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Pours a weird clear yellow orange gold with a healthy white head The nose is sweet, very very sweet. Sweet like corn, reminiscent of High Life. A little bit of spice... maybe skunked light hops? Maybe some apples... weird. The mouth is as thin as this beer looks, moderate CO2, not a lot going on. The flavors are about in line with everything else. Sweet and lacking substances. Theres some spice, like I said about the nose, but its mostly dead hops I think. Cloying sweetness lingers. I just dont like this one. Despite the sweet spot I have for High Life, I just dont like this beer!
