Commercial Description:
This vintage single orchard cider is sourced from our award winning orchard at Stewley, in the heart of Somerset. An exquisite example of the cidermaker's art, the apples from Stewley have been carefully blended to give a round, mellow, rich fruit flavour. A medium dry cider with the characteristic flavour of Somerset cider apples delicately balanced to compliment a range of good food, cheese or to drink on it own. Best served chilled.

Bottle. Gold, no head and minimal condition. Gentle fruity apple aromas and a faint suggestion of rural shittiness in the background, quite dry and slightly phenolic in the mouth with a muted apple citrus tang, dry short finish with a touch of plastic.

Bland apples and peaches disappear into a dry void...The prickly carbonation is stronger than any flavor, as prominent water points towards the obvious lack of substance...Not bad, but terribly soporific; not even pleasant enough to accompany a meal...

Bottle. Golden and sparkling cider. The aroma is light apple juice and the flavour is refreshing dry white wine like with a warming appley tangy finish. Overall a good cider.

Aroma is reasonably appley with a bit of alcohol but a bit bland. Taste is reasionably dry with again a noticeable amount of alcohol.

Bright, off-putting orange colour. Very faint fruit aroma. Fairly ordinary cider: the lack of sweetness was appreciated, but the sour taste and dry finish had only limited impact.

HMMM! This has a nice colour and a reasonable nose of apples, but this has a very unpleasant tannic edge on the palate. It is medium dry and fairly smooth, but the harsh tannins really spoiled it for me...not nice.

Bottle. Orange colour with only the merest hint of visible carbonation. Aroma of oak and apples. Taste of apples and oak, some sourness, some alcohol in the finish. Off-putting unsatisfying mouthfeel.

75cl bottle from Sainsbury. And frankly I had a problem getting through the bottle. Not that it is horrible. It has an irridescent copper quality to the colour and no head. The aroma has toffee oak and apple. with oak dominating. Mouth feel is slightly sour with more apple juice mixed with toffee and wood. Finish is dry slightly sour but with more wood and definite toffee apple flavours. Not awful but I wouldn’t buy it again
