MesandSim (5789), London, Greater London, England Jul 5, 2009 A Mes rate. Drunk from a freezing cold plastic 33cl bottle at Dingwalls during the Camden Crawl. Dingwalls was actually the catering venue for volunteers and workers during the event to come and get fed and watered. Somehow Kenny and I utilised the force and walked straight in and helped ourselves to free food and booze. Bloody good job this was free. It’s a crap, cheap commercial perry. Very fruity and synthetic. Mildly better than the cider. But free all the same. Fin (3372), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jun 29, 2009 Bottle that my mum kindly (:-) passed onto me 26-06-09 Pours a silvery/gold colour, busy carbonation. The nose is rather artificial and industrial, its cold metallic, sweet and not my thing, surpised that I actually scored it this high to be honest. Pale golden colour, no head. Aroma is vinegar, pear and somw sweetness. Flavour is pear, some slight applewinelike notes as well as slight papery notes. judasbeer (228), Budapest, Hungary Apr 30, 2009 Sun dried, pale golden color with diminishing fizzy head. Slight sweet apple aroma. Medium sweet pears, ginger with sweet glucose in the flavor. Abrupt sweet, artifical finish. Light bodied with watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Almost like a soft drink, especially reminds me canada dry. MiP (8792), Sønderborg, Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Plastic bottle, 4.5%. Clear yellow colour. Very small frothy white head. Sweet flavour, like apple candy or something. High carbonation. hughie (3015), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jun 5, 2008 Pale almost greyish gold. Faint sweet aroma. Taste not nearly as syruppy as I feared. Quite a restrained sweetness, but no real pear character.
